- Pant rose to prominence through his performance in the 2016 U-19 World Cup. Opening the batting line-up of India, he scored the fastest half-century of the tournament against Nepal and scored a ton against Namibia
- In 2016, he was acquired by the IPL (Indian Premier League) team Delhi Daredevils. He debuted in the IPl against Gujarat Lions on April 27, 2016
- In 2017, he got a place in India’s national T20 squad and played his first T20I match against England on February 01, 2017
