- Ajay Devgn first appeared on the silver screen playing a teen Mithun Chakraborty in the 1985 film Kalicharan
- He made his debut as a lead actor in Hindi films in the 1991 movie Phool Aur Kaante. He won the Filmfare award for best debut (male)
