Raid 2 reviews are in and the audience are already loving the face-off between Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh.
Raid 2 has finally hit theatres today, May 1, 2025, reigniting the fire of gritty thrillers on the big screen. The much-awaited sequel to the 2018 blockbuster brings back Ajay Devgn as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, diving once again into the murky world of white-collar crime. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and also starring Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor, the film’s theatrical release has sent fans into a frenzy. With the buzz already peaking, Twitter is now buzzing with reactions, as viewers share their take on this high-stakes crime drama.

Another viewer praised Riteish Deshmukh’s performance in Raid 2, highlighting how he delivers a powerful act that breaks away from his usual typecast roles. They noted that much like his standout role in Ek Villain, Raid 2 gives him the opportunity to showcase his full acting range—and he excels once again.

One user found Raid 2 to be an average affair, rating it 2.5 stars. They felt the film started strong but became patchy and slow in the first half, with a better second half that ultimately became repetitive and predictable. While Ajay Devgn appeared uninterested and tired in parts, Riteish Deshmukh delivered a stellar performance. Vaani Kapoor’s role was minimal, and Amit Sial impressed. Though Rajkumar Gupta’s direction was decent, the story and screenplay fell short, making it an entertaining but ultimately half-baked product.

A viewer thoroughly enjoyed Raid 2, getting caught up in the unfolding story and the intense cat-and-mouse chase. Both Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh delivered strong performances, while Amit Sial and Shruti Pandey also earned special mentions for their work. However, the only downside was the inclusion of an item song, which to her, felt unnecessary for a film of this caliber.

The film is slated to hit the OTT streaming giant, Netflix, after its theatrical run.
