Helios Flexi Cap Fund made several portfolio changes in August, with notable shifts across financial, consumer and technology stocks.
The flexi cap fund sold 6 lakh shares of HDFC Bank and had nearly 31.98 lakh shares in its portfolio in August compared to 37.98 lakh shares in July. Nearly 3.34 lakh shares of Reliance Industries were sold from the portfolio and the flexi cap fund had 14.42 lakh shares in its portfolio in August.
The fund sold 2.08 lakh shares of Bharti Airtel and 50,397 shares of Welspun Corporation from its portfolio in August.

Among the 28 stocks where the fund increased its exposure in August, the fund added 7.01 lakh shares of Swiggy and had 27.96 lakh shares in its portfolio in August compared to 20.95 lakh shares in July.
Around 79,700 shares of One97 Communications (Paytm) were added to the portfolio, taking the total count to 19.28 lakh shares in August. Among the other 26 stocks, the fund added the maximum shares of Poonawalla Fincorp, as it added 10.90 lakh shares in its portfolio and had 16.70 lakh shares in the portfolio.
It added 9.52 lakh shares of Bharat Electronics, 6.73 lakh shares of Honasa Consumer, 5.68 lakh shares of Saregama India and 5.52 lakh shares of SBI Funds Management in its portfolio on a monthly basis in August.
Some of the other stocks where the flexi cap fund increased its exposure were SBI, BHEL, Titan Company, Marico, Solar Industries, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, MCX, Interglobe Aviation, Delhivery, CarTrade Tech, Travel Food Services, and Hitachi Energy India.
A complete exit was made from five stocks which included BSE, Dixon Technologies (India), Lemon Tree Hotels, Aadhar Housing Finance, and Muthoot Finance. Among these five stocks, the fund sold 48.37 lakh shares of Lemon Tree Hotels, 5.35 lakh shares of Aadhar Housing Finance, and 2.58 lakh shares of Muthoot Finance.
The fund sold 1.41 lakh shares of Dixon Technologies (India) and 2.22 lakh shares of BSE from the portfolio in August.
Coforge and PB Fintech were the two new entrants in the portfolio and the fund added 10.44 lakh shares of Coforge and 3.61 lakh shares of PB Fintech in its portfolio in August.
The exposure remained unchanged in 34 stocks in August which include some names such as CAMS, Coal India, Eternal, Adani Energy Solutions, Vishal Mega Mart, HDFC AMC, ICICI Prudential AMC, Axis Bank and NTPC.
In August, the fund had 68 stocks whereas in July it had 71 stocks in the portfolio. The portfolio was spread across 26 sectors.

The fund had an AUM of Rs 8,747 crore in August. Launched on November 13, 2023, the fund delivered a CAGR of 16.63% since its inception. In the last one year, the fund delivered 2.90% return against a loss of 1.77% by the benchmark.
The performance is benchmarked against Nifty 500 - TRI. The fund holds 55.47% in large caps, 21.22% in mid caps, 19.24% in small caps and 4.07% in others.
