Sanchar Saathi App: Telecom Minister Scindia pointed redressal of Congress MP Hooda’s concerns in LS

Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia strongly dismissed snooping concerns around the Sanchar Saathi app, saying it neither auto-operates nor bypasses user consent. Scindia highlighted the app’s impact: 1.5 crore fraudulent mobile connections blocked, 26 lakh stolen phones traced, and 7 lakh handsets returned to users. He stressed that the Modi government aims to empower citizens with digital safety tools while remaining open to improvements based on public feedback.
