Shivakumar launches SIR drive in Karnataka; urges voters to update records for welfare benefits
Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar launched the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls by submitting his own Enumeration Form. Urging citizens to complete the process before July 29, he stressed the importance of ensuring their names remain on the voter list. Shivakumar also said voters should update their details and submit the required documents where applicable, while noting that those not on the electoral rolls could face difficulties accessing government welfare schemes.
