India's first-ever all-women tri-services crew returns after historic circumnavigation expedition

India's first-ever all-women tri-services circumnavigation sailing expedition, Samudra Pradakshina, has scripted history. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh felicitated the nine women officers from the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force after they completed an extraordinary 314-day voyage covering nearly 25,500 nautical miles across four oceans aboard IASV Triveni. The expedition fulfilled all internationally recognised criteria for circumnavigation, crossing the Equator twice, the International Date Line and rounding the Three Great Capes, including the formidable Cape Horn.
