India signs MoU for first telecom manufacturing zone in Gwalior, targets ₹10,000 crore investment
India signed an MoU between the Government of Madhya Pradesh and the Department of Telecommunications to establish the country's first telecom manufacturing zone in Gwalior, with the government stating it will operate on a 'plug-and-play' model and target ₹10,000 crore in investment. Union officials said ₹2,000 crore in investment has already materialized for the first phase and will create 45,000 job opportunities, building on the PLI scheme that has already delivered ₹1,02,000 crore in sales and ₹26,000 crore in exports.
