BSE has revised the circuit limit for the shares of NDTV and 10 other firms to curb excessive volatility in their prices.

All sectors on NSE closed in the green, with Nifty Realty leading, surging 2.97 per cent.

The overall market breadth remained positive as 1,390 stocks closed the day with gains, compared with 1,286 stocks that suffered losses.

The Nifty50 index closed 97 points, or 0.92 per cent, up at 10,715.50, with 37 stocks advancing and 13 declining.

Around 11:30 am (IST), the BSE Smallcap index was 0.50 per cent up at 18,082.

The Nifty50 index fell 38 points or 0.36 per cent to end the day at 10,680.

Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 closed in the positive territory on Friday.

Bank, IT and telecom stocks were experiencing selling pressure.

The Nifty50 index was trading almost flat at 10,344, while the BSE Sensex was 52 points up at 33,199 around 11.10 am (IST).
