Following India's Operation Sindoor, which targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoJK, Pakistan has reportedly closed its airspace and key airports for 48 hours. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the Indian strike as an "act of war" ...

According to sources cited by ANI, the Indian Armed Forces successfully struck nine terror targets—four in Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, and five in PoJK—using precision-guided munitions. The operation was a joint effort by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, involving extensive mobilisation of troops and assets. The strikes were aimed at eliminating top leaders of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), both of which are responsible for orchestrating terror activities in India.
In the immediate aftermath, Pakistan has reportedly shut down its airspace and suspended operations at several airports, including Islamabad International Airport.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee scheduled for Wednesday morning. In an official statement, Sharif condemned the Indian strike, calling it an “act of war.”
“Pakistan has every right to give a robust response to this act of war imposed by India, and a strong response is indeed being given,” Sharif said. “The Pakistani nation and the Pakistan Armed Forces know very well how to deal with the enemy. We will never let the enemy succeed in its nefarious objectives.”
