“Vande Mataram Is Not Your Political Tool”: Akhilesh Yadav slams BJP in Lok Sabha
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav delivered one of his sharpest attacks on the BJP during the Lok Sabha’s special discussion on 150 years of Vande Mataram. He said those who “never took part in the freedom struggle” were now using the national song as a political weapon. Yadav argued that Vande Mataram belonged to India’s freedom movement and should not be used to impose beliefs on others.
