Vaishnaw says 'targeting at least 200 startups' for chip design, unveils 6-pillar SEMICON 2.0 plan
India’s IT and Electronics Minister said “Semicon 2.0” will strengthen the country’s semiconductor ecosystem by focusing on six areas, including chip design, machines and materials, fabs, advanced packaging, industry-led research and development, and talent, with plans to support at least 200 chip-design startups and companies.
