Ujjain Shahi Masjid demolition turns tense; clashes & stone pelting reported, suspects detained
Ujjain witnessed clashes and stone-pelting amid the road-widening work involving a portion of the Shahi Masjid. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd as heavy security remained deployed. The Madhya Pradesh High Court is scheduled to hear the matter today. The project is part of preparations for Simhastha 2028, with 272 structures marked for road widening.
