Rajnath in Colombo: India, Sri Lanka deepen defence ties with 3 MoUs & AI support for Lankan army
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo as India and Sri Lanka stepped up defence cooperation. The two countries signed three MoUs covering the upgradation of L-70 guns, NCC cooperation and cooperation between their National Defence Colleges. Rajnath Singh also announced plans to work with Sri Lanka on an artificial intelligence lab for the Sri Lankan Army. Maritime security, capacity building, search and rescue, counter-narcotics and anti-piracy cooperation also featured prominently in the discussions.
