Jamia students' stir: All demands met announces Registrar, protest called off

Jamia Millia Islamia has accepted all three demands raised by students following an 18-day hunger strike demanding the restoration of the university's students' union, which has remained defunct since 2006. The university has set May 15, 2027, as the deadline for approving and implementing the union constitution, with elections to be held within six weeks of the next academic session. It has also revoked disciplinary action against protesting students.
