‘India will lead world on 6G’: Scindia highlights his big vision at India Mobile Congress Awards

Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia outlined India’s next phase of telecom and technology growth at the India Mobile Congress Awards. Highlighting the rapid expansion of connectivity, falling data costs and wider inclusion, Scindia said India must now move from the last decade of “coverage” to the next decade of “usage”. He said India has moved from following the world on 4G to marching with the world on 5G — and declared, “We will lead the world on 6G.” Scindia also highlighted India’s shift from an importer to an exporter, the growth of mobile-phone production and exports, and called for greater investment in R&D, intellectual property and innovation.
