SIR protest day 3: Rahul Gandhi says 300 MPs stopped, vows action against Modi, Shah, CEC, Bhagwat
Opposition protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar have entered their third day in Delhi. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said around 300 MPs from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were stopped for two consecutive days first outside the Election Commission and then at Jantar Mantar. Rahul alleged that Opposition members were assaulted and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, CEC Gyanesh Kumar and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat of a ‘criminal conspiracy’ to ‘hijack India’, ‘destroy the Constitution’ and ‘steal votes’. Rahul said the Opposition would ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
