Cabinet clears ₹2.79 lakh cr for Rabi MSP hike, Green Energy corridor & AI-driven ITMS for Delhi

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has cleared three major proposals. The MSP of six rabi crops has been increased for the 2027-28 marketing year, including a ₹25 hike in wheat MSP to ₹2,610 per quintal. The Cabinet also approved the ₹1.86 lakh crore Green Energy Corridor Phase-III to evacuate up to 135 GW of renewable power and deploy 50 GWh of battery storage. In Delhi, a ₹1,789.52-crore AI-based Intelligent Traffic Management System has been approved for 42 traffic corridors, with adaptive signals, automated enforcement and emergency-vehicle priority.
