Mrunal Thakur leads a disciplined lifestyle. The actress is a regular gym-goer and follows a strict diet to keep in shape. But for the Sita Ramam star, fitness isn’t about quick fixes and overnight transformations. She believes in getting stronger gradually, incorporating movement in her everyday life and building an athletic body to keep up with the demands of her acting profession. No, we are not making any claims. Mrunal’s fitness coach Rohit Nair has revealed it himself in a recent interview.

Mrunal Thakur’s dynamic workouts

Rohit, in a conversation with The Indian Express, shared that, seeking a dynamic and performance-led approach, Mrunal expressed a strong interest in developing fighting skills. This aligned seamlessly with Rohit’s background in international combat sports, establishing a training framework centred on strength, functional mobility, and martial arts elements tailored around her hectic filming schedules.

Customising Mrunal’s workout requests, Rohit blends kickboxing, boxing, and agility drills into her routine to sharpen her reflexes, balance, and athletic output. Building functional muscle mass naturally creates a toned physique as a secondary benefit. Because her acting projects require physical endurance during prolonged shooting shifts, the exercises prioritise building high stamina and overall mental resilience alongside physical conditioning.

Mrunal Thakur’s exercises and food choices

When it comes to exercise preferences, Mrunal prefers progressive resistance training and Pilates, revealed Rohit. Pushing her limits with heavier weights gives her a sense of accomplishment, while boxing offers a stimulating combination of coordination and high mental focus. On the flip side, steady-state cardio sits at the bottom of Mrunal’s preferred activities list. Although traditional cardio is not her favourite, she stays disciplined and completes every session specified in her routine.

Meanwhile, Mrunal’s nutritional strategy relies heavily on simple, home-cooked dishes designed for maximum nourishment. Her daily meal plan balances high-grade proteins with complex carbohydrates for sustained energy, supplemented by healthy fats and vital micronutrients to support muscle recovery. Rather than enforcing strict dietary restrictions, her philosophy centres on dietary flexibility. Incorporating occasional cheat meals allows her to sustain a healthy relationship with food, ensuring her fitness journey is consistent, balanced, and enjoyable.
