‘Salaam Venky’ trailer: Aamir Khan’s cameo in this upcoming Kajol-starrer charms netizens

The Internet can’t stop gushing about the upcoming film ‘Salaam Venky’. For one, this Revathy directorial marks Kajol’s return to the big screen after the 2020 period drama ‘Tanhaji’. Moreover, the movie also has Aamir Khan in a cameo! The ‘PK’ star shows up at the end of the video. He is seen sporting a simple and elegant black T-shirt and spectacles. He looks effortlessly charismatic as always. Fans of course couldn’t keep calm at this unexpected glimpse of their star. Many took to social media to gush about the cameo.

One Twitter user wrote that they can’t wait to see Khan and Kajol share screen space again after 16 years. (referring to the pair’s 2006 hit movie ‘Fanaa’.)

In an interview with the Times of India, Revathy revealed that the normally finicky ‘3 Idiots’ star was so impressed by the script of the movie, that he didn’t attempt to improvise and readily agreed to act in the movie. “'ek bhi shabd nahi badlunga. Kajol plays a doting mother who is determined to be a pillar of support to her terminally ill son (played by Vishal Jethwa).

The family drama also marks Revathy’s return to filmmaking after 18 years. She had the last outing as a director was the 2004 movie ‘Phir Milenge’ starring Shilpa Shetty, Salman Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan.

The film which stars Aahana Kumra, Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, Prakash Raj, and Anant Mahadevan along with Kajol and Jethwa, is all slated to hit the theatres on December 9.
