Actor Sidharth Shukla passed away on Thursday at the age of 40. The TV star was rushed to the Cooper hospital in Mumbai where he was declared brought dead.

According to recent reports on Friday, the initial autopsy report, which was completed last night, suggests that there are no external or internal injuries found on the actor's body, according to timesofindia.com.

However, the viscera report which is conducted to determine the cause of death under suspicious circumstances if the autopsy report is proved unconvincing is still under hold, the report further said.


While the initial reports suggested heart attack, the final autopsy analysis would establish the cause of death of the actor. The doctors at the Cooper hospital in Mumbai have reserved their opinion on the post mortem report.

ETimes TV had reported that 'Bigg Boss' contestant Shehnaaz Gill was alongside actor Shukla when he felt "uneasiness" the previous night. Next morning when the actor didn't wake up, he was rushed to the hospital, report further said quoting sources.

The actor, who is survived by his mother and two sisters, was dead when he was taken to the hospital in Juhu around 10.20 am, PTI reported quoting hospital authorities. However, the cause of his death was not immediately clear.

"He was brought dead to the hospital. The cause of the death will be known after the post-mortem is conducted... it will take some time" Cooper hospital dean Dr Shailesh Mohite told PTI.

Shukla was declared dead by the principal medical officer when he was taken to the hospital around 10.20 am, Cooper hospital's Dr Jitten Bhavsar informed the news agency. "We are now waiting for the police ‘panchnama', then a post-mortem will happen," he had told PTI on Thursday.

The post mortem report will be released today. The actor's last rites, which have been delayed, will now be performed at 2 pm at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.
