TV personality and actor Sidharth Shukla passed away on Thursday after being rushed to a hospital in Mumbai. He was 40. His sudden demise has come as a major shock to everyone. People from film and TV industry remembered the actor as they paid their tributes.

Actors such as Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan and others took to social media to pay their condolences to Shukla's family.

"You shall be missed," wrote Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who's association with the 'Balika Vadhu' star goes way back to the time when Shukla had entered 'Bigg Boss' house for the show's season 13. He came out as the winner of the show that season.


"Gone too soon Siddharth.." the 'Bigg Boss' host further said.


According to a PTI report, Shukla suffered a massive heart attack on Thursday morning. The actor was brought dead to the city's Cooper Hospital, PTI reported quoting an official from the hospital.

Shukla, who started as a model after getting a degree in interior designing, rose to fame after his hit TV show 'Balika Vadhu'. After conquering the television world and becoming a known name in every Indian household, the actor moved towards silver screen with his Bollywood debut 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' with starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.

Dhawan, who worked with the actor in the film, shared a picture on Instagram with a note as he remembered Shukla. "You are loved by so many and you touched so many with your kind heart and beautiful personality," Dhawan said.

"Today heaven has gained a star and we have lost one. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones," he further added, "RIP brother."

Calling him the most warm, kind and genuine people to have worked with, Alia Bhatt remembered how Shukla would always be smiling and stay positive. "My heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and his fans who loved him so so deeply! Rest in peace!" Bhatt posted a picture with Shukla and Dhawan on her Instagram Stories as she paid a tribute to the late actor.
