TV personality and actor Sidharth Shukla passed away at the age of 40 on Thursday. The news of his sudden demise has shocked many. The actor, with a career spanning over 15 years, also had a strong presence on the Internet with over 3.9 million followers on Instagram. As people all over the country mourn his demise, his last post on the photo-sharing app is going viral.

Shukla had applauded the healthcare staff and frontline workers in his last Instagram post, thanking them for their countless hours of work and for risking their lives to help others. The 'Balika Vadhu' star had posted a picture of himself holding a placard that said 'The Heroes We Owe'. "You truly are the bravest! Being on the frontline surly isn’t easy, but we really appreciate your efforts," Shukla wrote in the caption.

Saluting the healthcare workers, Shukla added: "To all the frontline warriors, a thank you from the heart!"


The actor's beloved fans are taking over his social media post to pay tribute to the late star. His fans have been commenting condolences messages for the actor.

Shukla, who is survived by his mother and two sisters, was rushed to the Cooper Hospital in Juhu around 10.20 am on Thursday, PTI reported quoting authorities at the hospital, adding that the cause of his sudden death is not immediately clear.

Shukla, who held a degree in interior designing, switched to modelling when he was crowned as the runner-up in Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest in 2004. In 2005, Shukla made the country proud by winning the World's Best Model contest held in Turkey. After winning the title, he bagged a few advertisements for some leading brands.

After a successful career in the modelling industry, Shukla entered the world of TV shows with his first acting role in 'Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na' in 2008. He later starred in TV series such as 'Jaane Pehchaane Se... Ye Ajnabbi' and 'Love U Zindagi'. But it was 'Balika Vadhu' that landed Shukla major fame that every household in India recognised the actor.

Recently, the actor entered the 'Bigg Boss' house for season 13 where the fans saw him like never before. His angry young man avatar, his clashes with co-contestants including Asim Riaz, Rashami Desai, and friendship with Shehnaaz Gill stole the limelight. By the end of the show, Shukla emerged as the winner of 'Bigg Boss 13'.
