Khushbu Sundar is one of the most recognised faces in the film industry. From making her debut as a child actor in the 1980 film The Burning Train and making a name for herself in South Indian cinema to transitioning into politics, the 56-year-old has built a multifaceted career spanning decades. Her skincare is equally rooted in traditional practices, helping the actress-politician maintain a simple and consistent routine.

Khushbu Sundar’s skincare routine

Khushbu Sundar, in a candid conversation with The Indian Express, opened up about her skincare mantra. The Aranmanai 4 actress revealed that she is a morning person, waking as early as 4:30 am to 5 am.

Khushbu added that she makes tea for everyone at home in the morning. Interestingly, the raw milk used to prepare the beverage also serves another purpose for Khushbu. She uses the milk on her face as part of her skincare routine.

Apart from that, Khushbu also puts saffron strands in water and applies it to her face. At other times, the actress simply massages her face with coconut and almond oil, depending on her mood. ‘I do it every day for half an hour or so,’ she noted.

According to a Times of India report, Khushbu used to weigh 98.6 kg, but a knee injury forced her to completely change her lifestyle. She embarked on a weight loss journey in 2021 and, 5 years later, lost about 38–40 kg.

Khushbu, in a conversation with TOI, shared how one Japanese habit helped her in the physical transformation. She explained that, like Japanese people, one should only eat when genuinely hungry instead of munching on food every couple of hours.

Khusby explained that she eats food on a small plate at home, as people typically eat more on a bigger plate. ‘That's all the body needs,’ she explained, adding that eating in small portions allows her to determine whether she needs a second serving or is actually full. The actress noted that the Japanese follow this rule even in their 80s-90s
