The nutritionist warned against trying to lose weight too quickly, particularly in the first two weeks of a new routine. She pointed out that while extreme diets or sudden restrictions may deliver fast results, they come with side effects. Problems like hair fall, dull skin, disturbed sleep, or irritability can follow when the body is put under such strain.
The Right Path to Weight Loss
Diwekar emphasized that the most effective and sustainable method is based on three habits: eating mostly homemade meals, exercising regularly, and getting adequate sleep. Over the next few months, body size begins to reduce. Only after about five to six months does the actual weight begin to drop. She stressed that health progress comes first, and that should be the true marker of success rather than the numbers on the scale.

She urged people to adopt habits they can follow for life instead of resorting to routines that last only a few weeks.
