‘Hello MLA, you truly deserve it!’ Ravindra Jadeja’s victory note after wife Rivaba wins Jamnagar North in Assembly polls

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is on cloud nine. The 34-year-old cricketer from Gujarat’s Jamnagar is all smiles after his wife’s recent victory in the Gujarat Assembly Election.

Jadeja’s wife Rivaba, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Jamnagar North Constituency won the election by a huge margin. She got 88,835 votes from Jamnagar North that voted in the first phase of the elections.

The cricketer took to his Twitter account to post a sweet note congratulating his wife over her accomplishment. Jadeja posted his thoughts in Gujarati with their picture. In his note, he said that his wife Rivaba deserved the victory. He went on to express his gratitude to the people of Jamnagar who made it possible. He said that he has high hopes for the welfare of Jamnagar.


"Hello MLA, you really deserve it. The people of Jamnagar have won. I express my gratitude to all the people from the bottom of my heart... the work of Jamnagar will be very good," read the translation of his Tweet by Google.
The former captain of Chennai Super Kings was also seen aggressively campaigning for his wife in the run up to the elections. Jadeja had also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during one of his visits ahead of the elections. During one of the promotional rallies, Jadeja had also appealed to voters to show up in large numbers to participate in the elections.

Jadeja has been keeping his fans updated with posts about his family and travels. The cricketer hails from a Gujarati Rajput family from Navagam Ghed city of Jamnagar. The star cricketer married Rivaba Solanki on April 17, 2016. The couple has a daughter. Rivaba joined the BJP in 2019. Her sister Nayanba Jadeja is a Congress candidate.

Jadeja was the captain of CSK briefly. He currently represents Saurashtra in first-class cricket and is considered to be among the finest fielders.
