CSK unfollow Ravindra Jadeja on Insta triggering rumours of rift, CEO says the all-rounder still part of team
On Wednesday, CSK announced Jadeja will miss IPL 2022 due to an injury.

His elevation to captaincy and now absence from the game have triggered numerous speculations. These speculations were aggravated after CSK reportedly unfollowed Jadeja from its Instagram account.
Following his injury and eventual exit, CSK issued a formal statement. "Ravindra Jadeja reported a bruised rib and was unavailable for Chennai Super Kings' game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He was under observation and based on medical advice he has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL season," said the team in its statement.
Now, Jadeja’s unexpected departure and being unfollowed by CSK on Instagram seem to have fuelled rumours of a rift between him and the team. Social media has been abuzz with all kinds of rumours surrounding the cricket star's exit. Some of the rumours even suggested that the all-rounder abruptly left the edition due to some issues between him and the team’s leadership.
After fans spotted that Jadeja has been unfollowed, the CSK team CEO issued a statement to put all the speculations to rest.
"Social media, I absolutely do not follow anything. I have no knowledge of what is going on there. What I can tell you is that from the management side, there has been no problem and whatever is there on social media, I am not aware. Jadeja firmly remains in the CSK's scheme of things for the future, always," CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.
