Billionaire businessman Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to wish his followers a happy Ganesh Visarjan. It was a clip of an elephant calf waving his trunk wildly. Mahindra shared the clip as a way of marking the culmination of Ganesh Chaturthi.



Ganesh Visarjan is the last day of the ten-day-long Ganesh Chaturthi festival, where people say goodbye to Ganesh and pray for him to come back next year with equal happiness and blessings.

Ganesh Visarjan is the last day of a 10-day festival celebrated predominantly in Maharashtra. On this day, people bid farewell to Lord Ganesh and prayed that he would come back to their homes the next year to shower their blessings.

On Ganesh Visarjan, statues of Ganesh are taken to the nearest water bodies and immersed. The path to the water and till the immersion is celebrated in a grand way with a lot of dancing and music.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the nation, the festivities were toned down, and a lot of precautions were taken. This year, however, those precautions were lifted, and people celebrated to their heart's content.
