Get Rs 2K discount on Nothing phone (1), Flipkart announces deals ahead of July 12 launch

Even before the launch of Nothing’s first smartphone, Nothing phone (1), the Internet is abuzz with rumours and leaks surrounding the device. While the device will be launched on July 12, the brand has already started pre-orders for the same. Those interested to buy the smartphone are expected to buy the pre-order pass to purchase the smartphone. The pass is currently available on Flipkart.

There is good news for all those planning to buy the Nothing phone (1) as Flipkart has announced an instant discount on the purchase of the device. Customers who have HDFC Bank credit and debit cards will be able to get a Rs 2,000 discount on the purchase of the handset from Flipkart. The discount will also be applicable for those who opt for EMI transactions via HDFC bank.


Nothing phone (1) Cheaper Than iPhone SE?
Based on the recent leaks, the Nothing phone (1) is expected to be priced around Rs 30k to Rs 35k. The device will come in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage which will be priced at around Rs 31,000; 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant at around Rs 32,000; and a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage at around Rs 36,000.

Even before the introduction of the Nothing phone (1), during the ‘The Truth’ event, Carl Pei had announced his grand plans to take on Apple. Pei said that Nothing has aspirations to become a compelling alternative to Apple’s successful ecosystem. Perhaps, the Nothing phone (1) seems to be the first step in that direction, as it will reportedly be cheaper than Apple’s cheapest 5G iPhone, the iPhone SE series.

Expected Specifications
Nothing’s maiden device will come equipped with Snapdragon 778+ processor. It will sport a 6.55-inches AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Nothing Phone (1) will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support of 45W via a Type-C port. The device will have a 50MP primary camera on the rear, and a 16MP selfie camera. The rear transparent panel will feature the unique Glyph interface with LED lamps which light up on calls, notifications and alerts.
