Sonakshi Sinha’s latest romantic thriller, Tu Hai Meri Kiran, is currently running in theatres. The film, directed by Karan Rawal and produced under the banners of Echelon Productions, premiered on October 23. The film also stars Sonakshi’s husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal, in the lead. Days after the release, Sonakshi and Zaheer appeared for a candid interview where the couple spilled the beans on their lifestyle, dietary habits and fitness regimen, with Sonakshi’s eating routine stealing the spotlight.

Sonakshi Sinha’s diet

Sonakshi, in a conversation with Curly Tales, revealed that she has only 2 meals a day: one at 1 pm and another at 8 pm. She does not eat between these meals. Her daily diet involves simple, home-cooked food including a small portion of rice and dal, some sabzi, millets, and chicken tikka.

Zaheer disclosed that Sonakshi has been following this routine for months and it has been working well for the actress. She feels fuller for longer hours and remains satisfied, which leads to no unhealthy snacking or constantly reaching out for junk food. Sonakshi’s favourite dish? A warm bowl of homemade Sindhi kadhi.

Sonakshi Sinha’s first time in the kitchen

Sonakshi, who also runs her YouTube channel, recently posted a video on the platform, sharing her new skill. The actress tried her hand at cooking for the first time, with the help of her mother, film veteran Poonam Sinha. Her pick: Dal, rice and gawar ki sabzi.

While preparing the meal, Sonakshi revealed why she never attempted cooking earlier. The actress recalled that her mother would urge her to learn how to cook for her husband and in-laws, which Sonakshi objected. The only reason she wants to try cooking is that it is a basic life skill that everyone should know. ‘If I am left alone on an island without anyone else and without any support, I need to be able to live,’ joked Sonakshi.

All about Tu Hai Meri Kiran

In other news, Sonakshi Sinha and Zahir Iqbal’s Tu Hai Meri Kiran centres around Kiran, a bestselling author who connects with a stranger named Samar over a suspicious phone call. But what seems like a true connection slowly turns into a dangerous obsession. Ankit Gupta, Sherlin Seth, Zarina Wahab, and Purnendu Bhattacharya are also part of the cast.
