Weight loss is never easy. While many rely on quick fixes and supplements, they can often have side effects. The most effective way to shed those extra pounds is to follow a balanced meal plan, do regular workouts and make mindful lifestyle choices. But some dietary practices can speed up the process, as revealed by fitness coach Siddhartha Singh, who has worked with Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia. In his latest Instagram post, Siddhartha has shared 3 simple dinner recipes that can help you in your weight loss journey.

Siddhartha Singh laid emphasis on the 50-25-25 rule. The fitness expert explained that 50% of your plate should comprise a big bowl of salad or a sabzi of your choice, 25% should contain protein, and the other 25% must include carbohydrates. This meal plate distribution ensures you get adequate fibre, macronutrients, and energy without overloading on calories.

Rajma and rice

According to Siddhartha Singh, rajma paired with steamed rice is great for weight loss. ‘Yes, do not be scared of rice. It is a great source of carbohydrates,’ he assured, adding that 50% of your plate should have salad, 25% should have rajma and the remaining 25% should have rice. Siddhartha added that if you decide to add a little bit of Greek yoghurt along with this, it can turn into a solid meal

Egg bhurji and chapati

Another great weight loss meal, as per Siddhartha, is egg bhurji served with chapati. The fitness coach revealed that eggs are high in protein and fats, giving you sustained energy and keeping hunger at bay. Meanwhile, roti gives you carbohydrates. As for the 50-25-25 rule: 50% salad, 25% eggs and 25% roti.

Paneer bhurji

‘If you are a vegetarian, the next meal is going to be great for you,’ claimed Siddhartha Singh. He was talking about paneer bhurji, ideally, low-fat paneer. The fitness trainer recommended adding rice for carbs, followed by yoghurt. He, however, suggested not having Greek yoghurt as paneer already contains enough protein. For the 50-25-25 rule: 50% salad or any homemade sabzi, 25% paneer and 25% rice.

In conclusion, the fitness trainer advised alternating between your carbohydrate sources, aka having rice one day, roti the next day and so on to avoid monotonous meals and bring in variety.
