BTS kick off PTD Las Vegas concert! Jungkook flashes his abs on ARMYs demand, RM addresses Grammys

After receiving a warm welcome in Las Vegas ahead of their Permission To Dance concert, Korean pop band BTS opened the first leg of their tour last night as the entire stadium turned purple. The seven-boy band was welcomed with loud chants and screams by excited ARMYs that swarmed the stadium to watch their favourite group live after a long hiatus caused by the pandemic.

BTS began 'Permission To Dance on Stage' concert with their first performance at the Allegiant Stadium on Friday. On the day one of their show, the boy band performed some of their best hits such as 'On', 'DNA', 'Dope', 'Black Swan', 'Fake Love', 'Butter' and more.

Apart from their power-packed performance, the biggest highlight of the show was Jungkook fulfilling ARMYs wish. ARMYs showed up with banners and posters, requesting the 24-year-old to flash his perfectly toned abs, which he obliged, and not just once but twice.

Here's what happened. During breaks as BTS members were interacting with the fans present at the stadium, ARMYs were waving poster with a picture of Jungkook showing his abs from a performance that took place at another concert. The caption on the picture read: "We want to focus on ... "

For those who don't know, Jungkook, aka Jean Jung-Kook, had earlier broken Internet with his sweet goof-up when he took the stage to deliver a message but got stuck on "we want to focus on" while other members laughed and pulled him away.

So needless to say, Jungkook was impressed with the fans' creativity and quickly flashed his abs back-to-back while the stadium roared with screams of excited ARYMs.

At the concert on Friday, apart from Jungkook's abs stealing the show, the members were also seen goofing around with the singer as rapper J-Hope teased Jungkook before their 'Fake Love' performance by saying "the next song is where Jungkook's buttons went missing", while Jimin comes up to JK to close the buttons of his shirt.


Meanwhile RM also addressed the Grammys where the group gave a stellar performance on 'Butter' with a Bond-Matrix affect but lost to win a trophy, two years in a row.

"I know there's a lot of noise out there about the Grammys, but you know, why give a s*** about it? Hating is their freedom, and they have their right to hate, but if it was me, I'd rather just talk with my friends in some cafe and then forget about it. Rather than tweeting about it or some interview. I won't do that because I'm a grown up. But anyway, we didn't come to Vegas for the Grammys, we came to Vegas for the ARMYs!"

Before kicking off the concert in Las Vegas, BTS boys V, Jungkook and J-Hope were spotted roaming around town, taking in the beauty of the city and enjoying some free time before after wrapping the Grammys. The three even posted pictures from the majestic Bellagio fountain on their respective Instagram accounts.

BTS, which consists RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, will hold three more concerts at the same venue on April 9, April 15, and April 16.
