It's no doubt that K-Pop band BTS was the MVP at the Grammys 2022. Though the boy-band did not win an award this year, their performance of 'Butter' left the Internet buzzing for days. According to Google trends, BTS was one of the top searches on the platform since the Grammys, which was held on April 4.
Internet search for the seven-member band rose up to 1,000 per cent in the US in the last 30 days, while "how many members of BTS" was one of the most searched question on Google, which saw a spike of 7000 per cent.
BTS was nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for their hit number 'Butter'. However, they lost the award to Doja Cat and SZA for their 'Kiss Me More' song. While there were many victors, BTS' moments from the award ceremony grabbed the major attention.
For instance, singer V, aka Kim Taehyung, was all over the headlines for his little flirt skit with singer Olivia Rodrigo, which was part of BTS' 'Butter' performance at the Grammys.
The 'Deja Vu' singer also witnessed an all-time high search worldwide on Google after she bagged three Grammys at the ceremony.
The fan club of BTS, known as ARMY, also showed interest in Rodrigo, as her clip with V went viral on Twitter. For the band's fans, Grammys was special for several reasons as many were unsure whether BTS would perform on stage together since J-Hope and Jungkook had tested positive for Covid-19 just a few days before the ceremony, while singer Jin, aka Kim Seok-Jin, was recovering from a hand injury.
