The Paradise box office collection: Nani’s film opens on a strong note on Day 1. Makes box office history hours before its grand release

Nani’s highly anticipated Telugu film The Paradise arrived in theatres on today (September 24). Directed by Srikant Odela, the action movie also stars Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu in key roles. The film opened to mixed responses from audiences and critics alike, with reactions varying over its story, action sequences and second half. However, The Paradise had already made a mark at the box office even before its regular shows began, thanks to strong advance bookings and paid premiere shows.

The Paradise makes box office history before release

The Paradise recorded a major pre-release milestone for Nani. According to trade figures cited by Sacnilk, the film crossed the Rs 40 crore worldwide gross mark through advance sales and paid premiere shows before its regular morning shows began on September 24.

This gave The Paradise Nani’s biggest opening-day start through advance bookings alone. The film moved ahead of his previous career-best opener, HIT: The Third Case, which reportedly earned Rs 37.80 crore worldwide on its first day in 2025.


The strong advance numbers are particularly notable because The Paradise has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This means the film is restricted to adult audiences, which limits its potential audience compared with films that receive a more widely accessible certification.

The film also benefited from paid premiere shows scheduled on September 23, giving its worldwide opening figures an early boost.

Hyderabad leads domestic advance bookings

The domestic advance booking performance has been particularly strong in the Telugu-speaking markets. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have emerged as the key contributors, with Hyderabad leading the numbers.

According to the Sacnilk, Hyderabad generated more than Rs 7.40 crore in Day 1 advance sales. The strong response from the region helped push the film's pre-release numbers higher even before the regular shows started.

The Paradise has also reportedly received a strong response in international markets.

The Paradise Day 1 box office collection

While the advance booking numbers have given the film a strong start, the regular Day 1 collection is still being updated.

According to early Sacnilk estimates, The Paradise had collected Rs 9.33 crore net in India as of the latest update on Day 1. The film is running across 2,411 shows, with its India gross standing at around Rs 11.01 crore at the time of the update.

These figures are live estimates and the final Day 1 collection is expected to change once all shows and territories are accounted for. Trade estimates had suggested that the film could cross the Rs 50 crore worldwide gross mark on its opening day once premiere and regular show collections were combined.

The film's final opening figure will therefore be closely watched, particularly after its strong advance sales.

Nani and Srikant Odela reunite after Dasara

The Paradise marks Nani and Srikant Odela’s second collaboration after their 2023 film Dasara. The action drama opened to Rs 36.28 crore worldwide on its first day, according to the figures cited in the report.

Their latest collaboration has been mounted on a much larger scale. The film is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas (SLV Cinema) banner. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music.

The film features Nani in the lead, alongside Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu. The makers chose not to release a conventional trailer ahead of the film’s theatrical debut, keeping several details of the story under wraps.
