Paradise movie review: Natural Star Nani is back! The actor's much-awaited film The Paradise, alongside Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu, finally arrived in theatres today (September 24). Directed by Srikanth Odela, the makers chose not to release a trailer for the period action drama, keeping much of the film under wraps before its theatrical release. Now that fans have watched the film during first-day-first-show screenings, reactions have started pouring in on X (formerly Twitter).

Early reactions to The Paradise are mixed. While some viewers have praised Nani's screen presence, the visuals, action sequences, interval block and climax, others have criticised the screenplay, editing and second half.

One X user called the film a "disappointing mass entertainer", praising its opening portions and interval but finding the rest of the first half and much of the second half weak. According to the viewer, the writing feels inconsistent and several scenes lack an emotional connection. The user also felt that the action and performances sometimes appeared artificial and that the editing and abrupt cuts made the film difficult to follow.







Another viewer had a similar response, saying the first half was at least passable but the second half lost momentum. The user also pointed out that the film's mother sentiment, which is important to the story, did not have the expected emotional impact because the mother's character was not developed strongly enough.



A third reaction was more balanced. The viewer said "Just finished watching #TheParadise… The movie is good, but it has two drawbacks. If those had been fixed, it could have been a blockbuster. One is the first half, and the other is the second half. Rest, everything is good..."

Nani's performance and Anirudh's music get attention

One of the users took to X and described the first half as visually impressive but felt that the editing needed improvement. The viewer said they were hoping for a stronger second half after the interval.

What is The Paradise about?

The Paradise stars Nani as Dhagad and is set against the story of a marginalised tribal community that has been denied basic rights for years. The film follows their struggle for justice as a new leader rises to challenge the system that has kept them oppressed.

The cast includes Kayadu Lohar as the female lead, while Raghav Juyal plays the antagonist. Mohan Babu and Sampoornesh Babu are also part of the ensemble cast.



The film marks Nani's reunion with Srikanth Odela after their successful collaboration on Dasara. The actor's first-look from the sets had earlier created curiosity, with Nani seen in character wearing green leather shoes and a distinctive anklet.

The makers have also reportedly explored an international release for the film and approached Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds to present The Paradise in overseas markets, as reported by ANI
