New Delhi: Telecom operator Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio on Monday, said they have curtailed their voice-based customer care services and urged users to avail all services on its mobile app.

They said their customer helplines are still operational but have informed the users about shortage of agents.

Jio said that it's contact centers are operational with reduced number of associates.

"We request you not to select agent transfer option until it is urgent and use MyJio app to get answers to your queries," Jio said in a message on it's helpline number.

"In view of the current Covid-19 pandemic, we urge you to remain safe, including avoiding visiting Airtel stores or nearby shops for mobile services," the company said in a broadcast message to its users.

"All our recharges, new connections, services and complaints can be availed using the Airtel Thanks App, or visiting our website airtel.in."
