Manipur saw an impressive 84% turnout in the state polls held on Saturday even as insurgents attacked a polling station in Chandel.

Chief Electoral Officer P C Lawmkunga said as per preliminary official reports, 82 per cent of the 17.50 lakh electorate cast their votes.

Five persons, including a security man, were killed and two others injured in violence during Manipur Assembly polling.
