The Mizoram unit of BJP has suspended eight leaders, including its Vice-president Chalngura Zahau, for alleged anti-party activities .

"As cow is worshipped by Hindus, other religion should appreciate cow slaughter ban by some states," Prof John V Hluna told media-persons.

The meeting held in Aizawl was chaired by the BJP's spokesperson Nalin Kohli and attended by party leaders from the north east.
