Others should understand sentiments of Hindus on cow slaughter: Mizoram BJP chief John V Hluna

AIZAWL: The newly-elected BJP's Mizoram unit chief today said that other religions should understand the sentiments Hindus on the issue of cow slaughter.

"As cow is worshipped by Hindus, other religion should appreciate cow slaughter ban by some states," Prof John V Hluna told media-persons.

He said BJP has never been against Christianity or the Christian community as alleged by some interested parties and the party was ready to help churches in the state.

Admitting that some BJP workers used to collect donations from companies and businessmen, he said that such collection of donations would be discontinued.
