Lokayukta NK Mehrotra also served notices to two other state mining department officials, an official of Lokayukta office said.

"Since the election process is in progress, we cannot stay the proceedings. We will hear the arguments in February," the court said.

The petitioner, Yadunath Singh, alleged that his daughter was abducted by Anurag Prajapati, son of Gyatrai Prasad Prajapati on September 27.
