Mumbai street food under FDA watch: Action against unsafe & unhygienic eateries
Mumbai, Maharashtra: On action being taken to ensure clean and safe food from roadside eateries, FDA (Food and Drug Administration) Commissioner Tukaram Munde says, "Action is being taken at several locations. Be it Chinese or Vada Pao or anything else, action is being taken. We have prohibited the serving of food on newspapers. We inspected several locations and the colours added to Chinese food have now come down. Cleanliness has increased but a lot still needs to be done and work is still underway. I also appeal to the people that if they find unsanitary conditions somewhere, complain and don't have food there..."
