BENGALURU: The cash-strapped BBMP hopes to mop-up at least Rs 60 crore from advertisement hoardings across the city following the state government okaying the idea.
However, KAS officer K Mathai, who has taken the “illegal advertisement mafia" head-on as BBMP's assistant commissioner (advertisement), says “total administrative failure“ keeps the civic body from realising its full ad revenue potential, which he pegs at Rs 785 crore a year.
