‘The United States is not leaving Europe’: Elbridge Colby defends NATO 3.0 shift

U.S. defense policy chief Elbridge Colby said Washington is not abandoning Europe but wants a “NATO 3.0” built around European-led conventional defence. Answering reporters in Brussels, he discussed the Pentagon’s force posture review, Germany’s rapid rearmament, allied defence spending, military access and the Strait of Hormuz.
