‘Why didn’t CM raise J&K concerns?’ Mehbooba Mufti questions Omar over US Envoy Sergio Gor’s visit

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has criticised US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor’s Srinagar visit, alleging that foreign dignitaries’ tours to Jammu and Kashmir have become “curated” since 2019. Mufti said ambassadors earlier interacted with people from different sections of society but now meet only select officials and political leaders. Agreeing with CM Omar Abdullah, she said J&K’s issues cannot be solved by America and must be addressed by New Delhi. She also alleged that thousands remain imprisoned and people are being dismissed from government jobs.
