Jharkhand: Students accuse govt of ‘deceit’ after HC stays JPSC-JSSC job cancellations

The Jharkhand High Court has stayed the state government’s notifications cancelling appointments made through the 11th and 13th JPSC examinations, providing relief to around 450 candidates. The court also stayed the cancellation of Food Safety Officer appointments and asked the government to respond by September 15. The order comes after a prolonged student protest over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations. Student leaders have accused the Hemant Soren government of “deceit” and warned of fresh mobilisation, while the court clarified that candidates found involved in any foul play could still face action.
