Nepal flash flood: Valmikinagar in Bihar's West Champaran on high alert; 20 NDRF teams deployed

Valmikinagar in West Champaran, Bihar, is on high alert amid apprehensions of a rise in the Gandak River’s water level following flash floods in Tibet and Nepal. West Champaran District Magistrate Taranjot Singh said administrative personnel are on alert at the Valmikinagar Barrage and other locations. Authorities have inspected embankments and alerted people living along the riverbanks. The water is expected to reach the barrage around 9 AM and is anticipated to remain below the danger mark.
