‘India & Japan can lead world in Semicon & AI’: Goyal woos Japan, highlights 40K compliance reforms
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal says Japanese businesses are showing “not hesitation but impatience” to invest in India. Addressing business leaders in Nagoya, Goyal highlighted India’s growing semiconductor and AI opportunities, saying India and Japan can jointly lead the world in these sectors. He also highlighted India’s economic reforms, including the removal of over 40,000 compliances and repeal of more than 1,500 obsolete laws. Goyal also pitched India’s growing market, talent pool and investment opportunities to Japanese companies, urging deeper business ties between the two countries.
