Jaishankar receives call from Iran FM Araghchi, MEA issues fresh advisory to avoid travel to Iran
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on the evolving situation in and around Iran, according to his post on X. The conversation comes as India issued a fresh travel advisory urging nationals to avoid travel to Iran until further notice amid ongoing protests and security concerns. Shashi Tharoor, Chairman, Committee on External Affairs said the situation ‘looks very serious.’
