'India a refining superpower; will discuss Venezuelan oil with RIL': Rubio’s big message in Mumbai

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio kicked off his India visit on Oct. 20 with Venezuelan oil on the agenda. Rubio met EAM Jaishankar & held wide-ranging talks on cooperation in the energy and defence sectors. The top US diplomat is on his second visit to India within 5 months amid ongoing India-US trade deal negotiations. Rubio called India a refining superpower and hailed Indian capabilities to refine heavy Venezuelan crude. Rubio said he will discuss refining more Venezuelan crude and producing oil in Venezuela with Reliance Industries Ltd.
