Hoverit's Divyastra Mk3 takes flight: India’s first indigenous jet-powered loitering munition

India has taken another step forward in indigenous defence technology with the maiden flight of Divyastra Mk3, a next-generation jet-powered loitering munition developed by Lucknow-based Kawa UAV Pvt. Ltd. (Hoverit). The company says the system flew on August 11, 2026, powered by an indigenous jet engine developed by DG Propulsion, with no imported jet engine or foreign critical subsystem. Kawa says the programme went from inception to maiden flight in just one year.
